Yay! Fixed my PC. The CPU fan had rattled slightly loose causing the CPU temp to rise to a toasty 85ºC, which caused the CPU to slow its processing down. Now idling at a more confortable temp of 30ºC. Shame I missed the Machiniplex Forum in Second life, I was looking forward to it.

I Love the news media : “EUROPES KILLER STORM” http://tinyurl.com/ya4fbu6 - Erm, its a bit windy in France, and no, there isn’t a ‘FOOD ALERT IN THE UK’ as far as I know, but there may be a shortage of Cornish pasties at my local grocery store, other than that, we’re ok thanks… If the US government wants to send food parcels over to europe, could they...

The latest Duleks episode (4) seems to have gone down well, 260 views on youtube after 2 days and quite a few more comments than I usually get, most of my videos get 260 views after several months! Not sure why, but it seems “The Duleks” is more popular with my non-machinima friends/followers than it is with Machinima friends/followers. Now obviously the Moviestorm community...

Remember the ‘tea bag incident’ several days back? “Cant believe what Ive just done, a tea-bag bust, rather than make a fresh cup I used kitchen towel to filter it into another cup.” Well, just had another busted tea bag, this time I used a clothes peg to hold the hole closed while mashing! I have way too much spare time Every tea bag is sacred, Every tea bag is great,...

My sister was supposed to be on the BBC show “Crimewatch” tonight… no, not as a criminal !! She was going to be “woman pretending to type” in some b-roll footage of a police station, but it looks like she was cut out of that particular segment of the show. I never realised how funny Crimewatch is, I didn’t think it was a comedy. The reconstruction videos...

Finished set construction for the new Duleks episode. Drawn on my own experience when working in a call centre back in 1999 for this episode! It’s set in Malcolm Dulek’s workplace, a technical call centre. Also just created a new character in iClone using “Dummy helpers” - FANTASTIC FEATURE! - ‘Tony the talking toilet’ will make his debut in this episode…....

I’ve decided to put my Sci-fi/Thriller “One Giant Leap” on hold. Not sure how long for, several reasons; Chapters 2-6 are more or less written and ready to make, but I’ve lost the enthusiasm I once had for this mini-series. The story is pretty basic, no ground-breaking moments, but when I think about making it…its like….bleh….maybe tomorrow. I make...

I honestly thought I was in a minority not liking Russell T’s writing skills on Dr Who, but I’m seeing lots of tweets from tweeple saying they’re glad to see the back of him. Just saw another one pop up while writing this from Rasmus Lerdorf (God of PHP web programming language) who’s “Had quite enough of RTD”. Johnnie Ingram managed to sum up RTD in one word:...

Enjoyed ‘The end of time’ part one episode of Dr Who on christmas day, but is it just me, or is anyone else not a big fan of Russell T Davies episodes of Dr Who? They seem very melodramatic, trying to build up the tension with the music rather than the story itself, and having the doctor run up and down some corridors or across an old abandoned quarry just seems like it’s...

Had a nice night last night, done some iClone’ing, went in second life for a few hours, drank vodka, watched TV, more of the same today I guess, no reason to go outside into the real world: Max temperature today: 0deg C (32F) - Definitely not going outside! We found a star trek museum in Second life, quite amusing, lots of treky stuff, including a cat sleeping next to the warp core,...

Sci-fi/action mini-series progress
Originally posted to my old blog on 30th November 2009 I do get frustrated by Moviestorm sometimes, each new version brings new shiny things to play with, but also a new bunch of bugs and ‘features’, at the weekend had several crashes to desktop and a blue-screen-of-death, but despite all this, I still love Moviestorm, after using it for nearly 2 years now, its still my favourite application in...

New 'Lovely' short film
Originally posted to my old blog 22nd August 2009 I’ve was working away making sets for my ‘in production’ Sci-fi machinima mini series, when I was struck by inspiration to make a kind of music video/short film for Julianne Regan’s rendition of the traditional Irish folk song “She moved through the fair”. I’d actually made notes about it a year ago, but never got around to making it. I dropped...

Making a sci-fi machinima mini-series
Originally posted on my old blog on 14th July 2009 For about a year and a half, I’ve been making short machinima comedy skits usingMoviestorm and I’ve often wanted to do something serious for a change. The other day I stumbled on an old screenplay I wrote a few years back, written as a 2 hour sci-fi/action/adventure film, not finished, but I was reading through it, and its not bad. It has...

Funday/Sunday
Originally posted on my old blog on 14th June 2009 I’ve been chuckling to myself most of the day, my evil neighbours went out last night, didn’t come back at midnight and slam all the doors in their house as normal, instead, a policeman knocked on their door about 10am, no answer, then knocked on mine. Apparently they had carelessly left their car parked causing an obstruction a few miles from...

Woo-hoo'ing in the Sims 3
Originally posted on my old blog on 8th June 2009. I didn’t see what the fuss was with The new Sims 3 at first, I thought it should have been called The Sims 2.1 as it seemed exactly the same as the last one, except you can now freely wander around the town, knocking on doors, meeting new sims…and “Woo hoo’ing” them alot  For instance, I have one bloke sim, bit of a ladies man, he had a baby...
